guitar in hand enters Anjan Dutta on the stage set up for the music
launch of his upcoming Bengali film Ganesh Talkies. Greeted with
thunderous claps and whistles from the audience, the director took the
stage and mesmerized the audience at South City Mall with songs like
“Ranjana ami aar asbona”, “It’s now or never”, “Koto kichu korar chilo”.
Kolkata, June 12 (Washington Bangla Radio): The Bengali film audio songs release of the Oh! Henry took place recently at Music World. Present at the music launch of this film were Locket Chattejee, Dibyendu Mukherjee, Sudip Chatterjee, Sutapa Chatterjee, Rupankar and Ipshita. Pooja Bose had some prior commitments and hence she could not be present at the music launch of the film.

of harsh reality that is often reported in media.

legendary filmmaker who is known for his contribution to the World
Cinema came alive on big screen as his biopic ‘Meghe Dhaka Tara’
hit the theatre halls this Friday. The highly anticipated film produced
by Shree Venkatesh Films started its journey with one of the most star
studded premiere seen in recent times. Priya cinema hall seemed no less
than a galaxy as who’s who of the T-Town gathered to witness the
commencing of the journey of a film which is being expected to be a
milestone on Bengali film history.

Bengali film Chupi Chupi based on the tussle between Ghotis(who’s ancestors belongs to the eastern part of undivided Bengal) and Bangals (who’s ancestors belongs to the western part of undivided Bengal). i.e the two sub groups among Bengalis, premiered at Darpana cinema hall. Directed by Abir Basu, Chupi Chupi is a fun filled and sweet love story between Jini and Gourab. Jini belongs to a conservative Bangal family and Gourab belongs to a Ghoti family. What happens when their parents come to know of their affair is what the film is about.

Kolkata, June 15 (Washington Bangla Radio): The music launch of ace film director Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film C/o Sir took place in The Park Hotel in a grand style.

Just before the day of the release of Kaushik Ganguly’s latest offering ‘C/o Sir’, the entire Tollywood seemed to have accumulated in Hotel Hindustan International to cheer for the film in the Pre-release party.
Kaushik Ganguly played the perfect host to the guests and the media during the premiere of his film C/O Sir at Priya Cinema on the 28th of June. With the passes of the show in hand, a bag on his shoulder and a warm smile on his face, the director stood at the entrance welcoming everyone to the hall. The star studded premiere show saw many reputed artists from Tollywood making their entry into the hall one by one.
‘Mrs Sen’ is still running in the theatres and director Agnidev Chatterjee has already come up with another offering to the audience with his latest film ‘A Political Murder ‘which released on July 5th. The film had an early premiere ahead of the release date as the lead actress Rituparna Sengupta had to head off to Canada to be a part of the North Atlantic Bengali Association Conference organized by Prabashi Bangali Cultural Association where her upcoming film ‘Mukti’ will be screened.
Sourav Rakshit, a young singer from Kolkata is coming up with an initiative as noble as one can think of. Sourav is planning to contribute to the beneficial cause of under-privileged children with funds derived from his album launch which, according to him is going to take place very soon. He also plans to contribute to the children generously from the amount he receives for the various concerts which will be coming his way and also from those which he will arrange by himself.
