The Bengali film is an adaptation of the 2013 Fox Star Studio Tamil movieRaja Rani starring Nayantara, Jai, Arya, Nazriya Nazim and others. Raja Rani is a love story, starting with a wedding where the bride Regina James (Nayantara) mistakenly utters the name of her lover Surya (Jai) and the groom John (Arya) enters into a tortuous marriage. Many convolutions later, everything gets sorted out and John and Regina get over their pasts to live happily ever after as a happy married couple.
